It's going to be another action packed term in Kereru Class!
Our Topic in term 2 is Fossils.
We have a couple of exciting field trips planned. We'll be doing some science investigations in and out of the classrooms and learning a lot about rocks, plant and animal life and their remains from the remote past. We'll be watching some really interesting video clips and maybe even a movie about fossils and how they are formed.
We have lots of fascinating reading ahead of us and research tasks.
Our Topic title 'Memory Bones' is taken from a book we will be reading in class based on the life of Mary Anning, a famous British fossil collector, dealer and paleontologist.
Oh, and we get to be Paleontologists and hunt for and examine fossils!
