You will need to bring:

  • Morning tea, lunch and water.
  • Your school hat.
  • Sunscreen (it will be hot and sunny).
  • You may wear your PE gear on Monday (remember to have your togs on before we leave school).

Congratulations to both Ollie and Noah for being our super stars this week.
Ollie was awarded the 'Star of the Week' award for always being organised and ready to work.
Noah was awarded the 'Dare to Care' award for his caring, helpful nature.

The Christmas Truce

Today we discussed the origins of WW1 and why so many countries became involved over the next four years. One event that the students found really interesting was 'The Christmas Truce.'
We watched a couple of short videos to find out a little bit more about it.
The first clip is a Christmas message, based on The Christmas Truce, made in partnership with The Royal British Legion. It is inspired by real events from 100 years ago. Followed by a clip about the true story behind the event.

Last Day of Swimming

Today was our last swimming lesson so we got to have a play on the playground before our lesson and some free time in the wave pool after our lesson.

Star of the Week!

Kereru Star of the Week-Bojana!
Bojana has been really focused on whatever work or task she has been given this week. What  a great start to the year. Ms Hampson has been very impressed.
Each week our 'Star' will receive a certificate, funny money and a special
'Star Student' wristband.
Well done Bo.

Super Family!

On Friday the students were let loose with the iPads, the dress up box and their imaginations to see what creative ideas they would come up with.
Here is what Ollie's group put together. Well done!

Splish Splash!

Swimming started today and Kereru students enjoyed their time in the pool learning swimming techniques and skills.
